Just peer reviewed a classmate's essay. I used the review tools of Microsoft word, it made me feel like a professional.

People actually use those?
I prefer to just print it out and use a pen, and so do all the people I currently know be they classmates or professors.
Only instance I can recall where we used those tools was in a single English 300-level course. It was a massive pain in the butt, considering I didn't have any version of Office that had the expected level of functionality in its review tools.

A few of my past English teachers have used them. I could have printed it out and used pen, but she emailed it to me after the school day so we weren't near each other. Also, if I used pen I would've had to scan it back in, or take a picture.

We have to use them in my office. They are FUCKING AWFUL, especially if you have a document that's very formatting heavy. If you do, it will ruin your table of contents, headers/footers, etc. Its the worst.

Some of my professors use it too.
